VICTORVILLE, Calif., July 17 (High Desert News Online) — Costco food courts in several California cities have added chicken strips, a $6.99 order that comes with five pieces and sauce and appears to be replacing the warehouse chain’s calzone at those locations.

Employees at stores in Alhambra, Los Feliz, Bakersfield, Santa Rosa and Concord said the item arrived in July. A Santa Rosa worker said it showed up July 6, while a Concord employee said it had been available for a few days by July 15.

Menu signs list the order at 1,130 to 1,640 calories. Costco’s Victorville warehouse also has the new item on its food court menu.
